All most to the point of putting the engine back in my 28 526 and need to find out what the correct hose clamp is, i have double wire that i use on my 48s and a after market single band that is adjustable to any size. some people say it should be a thumb screw, others a double band type. any ideas?

Flat strap, fillister or round head screw, zinc plated (galvanized) is suggested by a well-know engine compartment judging guide. I believe these style clamps are still readily available from Restoration Supply.

I have the double-wire type on both my 34 and 56 cars; I like them because they are secure and look "of the era" but I suspect they were never OEM equipment.
