I have a 1950 Packard. Question: Is there just one wire or two coming off of the end of the brake master cylinder? Where do those wires or wire go to? How do these wires attach to the brake master cylinder? Thanks in advance for any help on this issue. The information that I have been getting has helped a lot.

Two terminals on the brake light switch, and 2 wires, one for each terminal. They are simple "push-on" connectors.

Here is Napa's brake light switch to illustrate O_D's information. One wire is power coming from a splice point in the loom but fed by a circuit breaker on back of instrument cluster. Other wire goes into a round plug under the dash which goes to turn signal switch. If you need a new switch, they are commonly available at parts stores.
