Hi

This '51 300 is only 80 miles from me, looks decent for $2,000......tempted.....tempted!

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/cto/4005756349.html

Just wonder where the rear seat is or if it still has one. Also, wonder how well it runs....might have to call....thinking.....thinking......

Steve

Steve,

It's in my neck of the woods. I could look at it for you or go with you to look at it.

Hi Stephen

Thanks for the offer, I might take you up on it if I decide to take the plunge. My preference is for a '53 or '54 Cavalier or Patrician, foolishly passed on that nice yellow and maroon one in Mass a year or so ago. Probably going to hold out for one of those, a good drivable maintained example. Any too major projects are mostly out here too, so have to consider that.

This '51 300 does look unusually good for a western New York car, though one never knows how much bondo it carries until one sees it in person.

Steve,

It does look good from the photographs. After crawling around and under mine for the last coupe of years plotting my restoration plans I certainly know where they rust. Mine was repainted sometime in the 60's and has a bunch of bondo in the quarters. They did do a good job on it although it will all have to be gone thru again.

I have a fairly open schedule if you do decide to take a shot at this car.
