Yes, mother nature has had her knickers in quite a twist lately. For the most part, we have had fairly decent temps since the first of the year -- but very dry. It's been decent here for playing with the car but I commiserate with those fighting the freeze. I hate cold.

We were supposed to have had quite a storm over the last 3 days. Locally, it mostly gave out after the first day and hit SoCal hard instead. Our summer is going to be a bitch. Hot, dry and from all signs lots of water rationing. Latest estimates (and still climbing) is over half a million acres in the valley are not going to be planted this year. Most of that would have been produce and food stuffs going to the east coast.

I agree Howard. I am not looking forward to the summer either. We are again expecting extreme heat and drought in the coming months.

But for a few moments yesterday evening here at our home we saw something spectacular. After a long day of soaking rains (which we dearly needed), the Tucson valley was treated to a glorious sunset full of robust colors and visual effects. Please enjoy.

Flat roofs on house and garage: what is it covered with??? Seems to me that rain and debris would build up over many years.

Thanks for the Cali weather update. I've been wondering about your safety out there. Hope everyone else in the group is safe and sound too.
Everything ok here in mid-TN area.

I took the Bumblebee for a drive from Chantilly, VA to Alexandria, VA for a "Jump Start" Packard brunch. The weather was reasonable this morning, though the rain began to come down pretty hard when I was driving home.

This was the first time in almost three weeks that I was able to take the car out without coating it in salt crud and other crap to remove snow from the Northern Virginia roads. I haven't been able to wash the car, replace the weatherstripping around the doors, or literally anything else.

I can't wait for spring ...

You can make a lot of really neat things from the parts left over after you rebuild your engine ...
