In your pictures the kick down switch is at the bottom of the firewall. on the second pic it shows just below the battery cable.

Thanks a bunch fellas ... and for good measure - my red pedal is not the clutch - it's the brake ! Maybe a yesteryears' mechanic way of saying he removed the P.I.A. electromatic !! BigT

I have a working E. Clutch on my '47 Super Clipper and when it is working properly it is a joy to drive but it gets out of adjustment easily and after 60 years parts do wear out.You should try and get the overdrive working as it really helps on the highway with speed and gas mileage. The clutch and brake pedals are identical so just switch them around if you want the car to be correct.
