I'm trying to figure why a couple of my doors do not close easily. When holding the exterior handle in the open position and closing the door it appears to but under a load or a bind. I thought perhaps the weatherstripping might not be correct but not sure. I have adjusted the striker area at the post will a little success but was curious if I might have an issue with the door hinge adjustment. I welcome any advice. Thank you

I remember the car quite well, one or both of the rear doors were "sprung"; perhaps it flew open at one point and the hinges were bent or the door frame itself bent, or both. I'm sure it's not a weatherstrip problem or something you can fix by adjusting the latching assembly. Your best bet is to see a competent body shop; perhaps reworking the hinges may do the job, just as likely the door frame itself will need to be realigned. Sometimes this can be accomplished by installing diagonal turnbuckles inside the door and pulling the frame back into shape.
