Vega is correct. Red lens is correct with Packard written on it. One year only. I do not know if the letters are supposed to be painted silver or not, but it's possible that they should be.

And also note that the letters are not etched into the glass but rather are part of the mold.

I found two tail lights, one has "VEGA" on it the other does not? Which one is original? Are they both correct?

The center light in red is for, I believe, hearse and ambulance. Clear lens for all others

That is false. The red lens is for 1938 models.

I have another question on this assembly. When mounted on the trunk, the bracket that hold the license plate is at the wrong angle. It needs to be pushed back a bit so it is vertical. Looking at the parts book, there seems to be another metal piece that adjust for this that I do not have. My question is, is there another "wedge" piece (look by nut that attaches the bracket) that is suspose to be there? Can someone take a picture? I include the picture from the parts book.
