Is this car legit or is it a mongrel? If it's legit it sure is a great price:

It's got a few legitimate bones in its body but by and large it's a knock-off assembled mongrel.

I'm surprised that someone even restored this. I think the one desirable feature is the that the body appears to be a Sport (capital "S").

West, you think that's a restoration? I think it's a new creation.

Oh no, its back...last time it was in the Mecum auction at the end of 2017:

What looks different this time is a '32 Light Eight 900 radiator shell. It's a bitsa!

Thanks for the link, Steve. The radiator shell was a 900 in the earlier form as well.

I don't see a current price.

Hi West

Price? Dirty cheap, only $159,900.00.

I'd love to see the Sport touring body returned to an appropriate chassis. There are no '30 745 LeBaron convertible sedans still extant, this would be a prefect chassis on which to recreate one. Just might humble opinion.

It sure looks a lot better in this color compared to the glorified ambulance color it had before.

Can you help me understand what makes everyone so sure it's a mongrel?
