1937 valve spring keepers

There are 2 different styles of keepers. Half are the "standard" 2 part keepers that I'm accustomed to seeing before. The other 8 have a slot in the stem that a key would slide in I guess.
On the '37 engine did the intake and exhaust valves have different keepers?
Do the ones with the key have a different washer between the keeper and the spring?
Will my old valves work if they are serviceable? They have the 2 piece keepers.

The ones with the slots are the original styles. The two part keepers are the aftermarket ones. They were all originally slotted with keys as you say. Someone has been in your motor in the past.
