The engine numbers for the 840/845 started at 188000 and ran through 192999. The 385 engine had a bore of 3.50 and a stroke of 5.00.

Is it possible that the car in question could have been built by a European Coachbuilder ?

Gas cap is 29 or 30, Bumper are 31? The generator is definitely not stock for an 840/845, voltage regulator is likely 40s or 50s. Is that the fuel pump next to the time chain breather? If so, it doesn't look like it runs to the carb. Also looks like their is a fuel cut-off mounted on the frame just rear of the carb that the rubber fuel line goes to. Carb is not a Detroit Lubricator 51. Can anyone identify it? Bijur tank is the manual "Pull Daily" type and is correct for 8th series. Tail lights are definitely 29. Coil is modern (should be dash mounted for an 840/845). Can't see the starter, but it is switched via a firewall mounted solenoid.

A very nice looking car, but I agree that it is definitely not European coach built or any other original coach builder.

I think this vehicle is very unic and to be a almost 80 year old car it drives incredible nice and tight.
Nice weekend to everybody.
