Owens Dyneto CG-678 Generator Internal Wiring Diagram (1928 - 526/33)

I am trying to rebuild a generator for my 1928 528. The Service Manual has a description of the generator and how to test it. The Parts Manual has photos of all the internals. However, there is no good diagram that shows the internal wiring. While it is a third brush regulated generator the description in the manual describes some unique features in this unit. What I am looking for is a diagram showing the internal wiring. Does anybody have any information on this? Know a shop who might have this information?

This generator was also used on a 326/33 and 426/33.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rob

You might check the AEA drawings available in the wiring section at the PAC site.https://www.packardclub.org The generators are all shown with internal wiring and it looks to be the same for the 326 and 426. I don't find a wiring sheet for a 528 but there is one for a 1928 526/533 and if it is the same generator as the one shown on earlier models it is wired slightly different from them.

I believe Jason at AER is quite experienced with the Owen-Dyneto generators.

EDIT: Jason's website did not open for me this morning so don't know if his provider is having issues or the virus shutdown might have affected his business.

After original Owen Dyneto factory information, the next best source of information would probably be the "Standard Auto-Electricians Manual". Mine is out on loan but several others who frequent this forum have copies so hopefully one of them will see this and respond to you.

Thanks. I did look at the diagram and it shows more information than the schematic in the Packard manual. Will look carefully at the drawing and see if it matches the words in the manual.
