it does have that wave washer behind it, so Packard did use it, at least on my car anyways.

Kev....i will check locally and in the sand blasting cabinet....if not i will PM you about it.

On my clipper it has the wave washer. It's the wave washer that holds the clip in tension. You can also bend the legs of the horseshoe together slightly to be doubly safe.
