Plywood. Prefer marine grade, painted black.
Edit - Marine grade not required...a good ACX or BCX will suffice.

On mine, there is actually an angled cut on the underside to provide additional clearance from the transmission. I'll see if I can find a picture if you need it.
I couldn't find the correct fasteners per the parts book when I put mine back in (it was missing a few), but I found that the washers from Eckler's Model A supply (28-24462-1 Floorboard & Door Hinge Washer Legacy#: A80033W) where a pretty good fit. Also painted black. Let me know if you need me to find some pictures.

Here are a few. Bottom and top sides. The top is flat. You can see the jute around the edges.

Thanks again Ken. Was this 3/4 inch plywood and trimmed with jute on the edges to bring it level with the steel toe board and under seat floor sections?
BTW, I really enjoy your posts on your 120. Keep up the great work.

Yes, I believe the plywood was 3/4”. I honestly don’t remember. I think the jute trimming was to limit vibration. The trunk is the same way. I’ll be posting pictures of the trunk soon - I’ve had to take it out to correct some surface rust underneath. I believe it may be the first time it’s been out of the car.
