Just a quick question to the brains trust. There is a light green wire on my 56 Clipper that goes from the resistor on the firewall to the inside small contact on my starter motor. Doesn't seem to make a difference if its connected or not. Any idea what its for? Thanks, Phil

It provides a full twelve volts to the coil whilst the engine is cranking. When not cranking, the coil sees about 9 volts.

You will not notice much difference in starting performance til, oh say February.
