As a matter of reference, this is how mine is set up. I believe this is correct for as-delivered (minus the paper filter...I added that). I have had zero issues with vapor lock.

That matches the line setup as well on my 54 Clipper. That also matches the factory photos and the PI Engine Bay Judging Guide
