Due to the cost of restoring my '49 Custom Eight I've decided to hot rod it and go electric.

I've not started the conversion yet but have the motor running and it sounds good.

I'll be parting with everything to do with the internal combustion engine, transmission, overdrive, starter, generator, radiator etc.

Stripping the chassis down to bare metal.

Car is located in Greensboro, NC

thanks all!

Electric as in an EV? Sounds like an interesting approach, personally I hope you start a project blog and keep us updated on your progress.

No clue how you can do an electric conversion for less than getting an old ICE running 🤔

Last I heard, electric conversions are like $20k and you could probably get that drivetrain going for $5k.
