Here is one from a Ford that looks similar to the one we have. Seems to be more elusive of an item than I thought it would be. Is there a patent number on it? Might be able to find a diagram of it through a patent search.

Well I managed to get it all installed and then it became obvious that I don't have the 1/2"x24 nut that secures it to the roof. It seems that it's an obsolete nut and so far I've had no luck finding one... or even a tap so I could make it.

1/2-24 is a bit obscure but readily available from MSC, item #04844197 (for a bottoming tap). There are thousands of taps listed and I just noted the first one I found, there may well be others. Their catalog is on-line.
