Can someone with a 51-56 take a picture of the fiberboard separator that is between the rear seat and the trunk. The one is my car was long gone before I got it, and I need to fab up a new one.

Thanks!

Hey Kev - hope the pictures of my trunk help. You will notice I had a chance to get some carpet in there. Also, if you look close you will see some clips that come through the separator board. I'll leave it to someone else to explain their purpose - tks Frank

Thanks for the pics guys. Can I ask, or see pictures of how it is held in place. Is there a set of clips or screws that holds it to the 'X' bracing?

There should be several holes in the x brace and sheetmetal back of seat. On mine there is a clip like this (from the restoration specialty catalog) at most of those locations--. Mine has a round head about 3/8" of a darker color that sort of blends in and can be seen in the picture as those more symmetrical X spots that resemble the dirt spots on the cardboard. 3 sort of in a triangle on each side, one in lower center and some on top edge.
