In the 52 model year, where there any models without 'teeth' in the grille? My 52 300 does not have them, so I'm wondering if my chrome was replaced with a different year...

I would say the original was damaged and someone changed it.

Thanks! Boy this car is getting more and more different parts. The hood is a 51.

Maybe there are some signs of a long ago caved in front somewhere -- perhaps the frame ends or bumper mounts etc. With a 51 hood and different probably 51 grill, the scenario of "The car ahead of me was backing up doing at least 30 when I hit it" or "Honest officer, that tree wasn't there yesterday and just jumped out at me" comes to mind.

Sadly the car shows about 12 of those incidents...

Carl,

Your car must have hit the back of mine, as I have all the matching damage, but just in the rear.

Guess people played bumper cars with real ones and never got them fixed. The trunk has a dent as well, so I think the car behind me shoved me into you, BigKev.
