Little help please....orphaned Autolite regulators left on my doorstep in the middle of the night...I suspect by a Packard guy, but might have been a practical joke by the local Buick Club?
VRP-4002-A -- 35amp.
VRD-4001-B -- 30amp.
VRR-4004-A -- 20amp(on buss bar)

Thanks guys...should be easy for someone with a comprehensive autolite book.

Better than some orphaned things that could have been left instead.

Here is what Motors Manual, 11th edition says about Auto-Lite regulators used on your favorite Packards.
Note A was location of SN. Prior to 46 was on plate riveted to cover. Notes F, G, & H below

Only one listing in the book for the VRR 4004-A & says it was a negative ground used on 40-42 Willys. That one must be the practical joke.

Also threw in a matching chart for Delco regs so they wouldn't feel lonely or in case someone else decides your doorstep is a convenient repository of old obsolete regs..
