Henry, et al

I would have liked for your father to drive the '37, but we will do it next time it is at Salado.

Many voiced concerns about the Stagecoach Inn, and I agree the Inn is showing the effects of deferred maintenance. We learned that it is under new ownership. The new owner is making improvements to the Inn by first remodeling the rooms. This effort has started and two of the buildings have been completed. This project should be done by next year. Also, the dining room is being upgraded. An expansion project is also scheduled and may be started by the time we are there next year. From what we have heard, he is taking a real interest in improving the property and is a hands on manager with experience. It needs improvement and it looks like progress is being made. We shall see...

More photos. The '37 Twelve Club Sedan is a nicely restored Packard. The '39 Twelve Club Sedan is an unrestored car in exceptionally nice condition. The '53 Convertible held its own against the '53 and '54 Caribbean Convertibles; although, the Caribbeans were especially nice, especially the red '53. It is here were events over came me and I did not take any more photos. Most of the remaining Packards were from the 24th series on, including a nice '57 Town Sedan. I have photos of the two chassis and will post them.

Here are the photos I took of Tom Wilcox and Henry Greene's chassis. It was quite a sight watching Tom drive the chassis for his 1930 733 around the parking lot. It has come a long way since the "tune-up" was started about four years ago. The quality of the work he has done is first-class. Henry's chassis for his 1955 Clipper Custom Constellation is an impressive piece of work. We have all shared in his ups and downs getting the project to this stage. It is good enough to be a museum display, but he has other uses in mind for it. Thanks to both of them for their time, effort, and expense in sharing their projects with us.
