Randy, glad you enjoyed the pictures, I hope others did as well. It's certainly not quite Pebble Beach but it's as close as we get in the Northeast, certainly an event not-to-be-missed if at all possible - Sunday's focus is on European vehicles. I imagine the results of the Bonham auction will be public sometime late tomorrow or Monday. The green 1933 Super was exceptional and had quite a high estimate for a factory-bodied closed car - $100K or so min. as I recall. The coupe-Victoria had great patina and could be a nice tour car as is assuming good mechanicals and as I recall the estimate was about $40K - $60K - the interior was exceptionally fine original, no visible damage or wear that I saw. I don't recall the estimate on the 36 Eight convertible Victoria. Perhaps 80 or so total cars in the Bonham auction tent.

O_D, Thanks for sharing photos and descriptions for those of us who could not attend the Concours (not Concorse). The Franklin Racer (?) looks like it has an early Renault hood and sides.

I attended a much less prestigious car show on Sunday. There I spoke to a couple who were showing their 1932 Lincoln formal sedan, an absolutely beautiful car. They have nine Thirties cars in their collection, including four Packards. When they heard about my Packard they volunteered that when it comes to picking a car from their herd that can be depended on to start, get them to a show and back, it's usually one of the Packards. I suppose you just have to ask a man who owns one to hear something like that.

I see two replica Speedsters, and know that the best of show went to a replica Duesenberg. One wonders if all the re-bodied cars being accepted in concours these days are starting to prevent guys with legit cars from showing.
