Hoping someone can help me... I'm looking for a source for the small #4-32 brass screws that hold the wires in the connector where the horn's harness connects to the main harness.

See picture below. The screw goes in the hole in the middle.

Just asking, 4-32 seems to be an extinct bird, are you certain it's not 4-40 which is the standard item? I checked several places for 4-32 machine screws and came up empty. I even came up empty checking suppliers of obsolete threading dies for anyone with a 4-32 die. At this point the only thing that occurs to me is to find someone with a suitable lathe and have them thread you a length of brass rod to 4-32 and make your own from that.

Definitely not 4-40.

I checked eBay and found a few but they either have the wrong head type, wrong metal, wrong color, wrong length, etc. They're supposed to be 1/4" long brass flathead screws with a "flat fillister" head style. See the picture below.

I wound up buying some round headed steel ones, painted black just to hold the wires in-place until I can find the correct ones.

As a journeyman prototype machinist, that screw size was one I never knew existed until now and, as I was curious, I looked it up. Some thread charts have it while others don't but I did see that someone on eBay recently sold a box of them a little longer than you need but perhaps the buyer is willing to share! Unfrtunately I didn't save the address to the closed item but a search should bring it up.

Yeah, apparently it's an old thread style that seems to have been discontinued around the 1950s-60s.

Believe it or not, there was also a 4-36 screw as well. Most of the ones I found were for Lionel Trains.
