please try to convince him it would really be cool to include chrome wheels, low profile tires, painted over chrome, and a set of velour seats. That way it will be more obvious that his Chevy is not a Packard.

variable orifice and variable fluid rheology as used in some shocks would make a difference. A new but conventional tubular would not make much difference

I agree with your conclusions. If you break down the volume one more step, the Senior line sales were totally inadequate to stay in business. I'd guess 110 + 120 is 90% at least of the volume.

For taxi competitor, think DeSoto. Cadillac did do a better job of separating LaSalle, but remember that one attraction of the 110's was the Packard look.

be careful! an old formula (old pigments in an old base) does not tell you how to get current paint. Likewise chip charts are not color standards (never were). If the paint company has updated formulae or another person has had a good match done, use that.

Carpet shouldn't be difficult at all - molded kits are not much more than roll goods. Reliable suppliers will send you swatches to check the match.

The tire functions the same at a given pressure. It has no idea what gas is in it. The benefit of nitrogen is less tendency to lose pressure through diffusion. So if the tire is low, pump it up as usual.

all bedford cord upholstery was an option on some pre-wars (the 41 interiors show both broadcloth and bedford cord). The style is finer ribbing than, for example, the 48 leather/cord combination

Lexan is a brand name for polycarbonate, a plastic particularly sensitive to solvents. But I think the sensitivity mentioned earlier was that of the paint.

Steering wheel paint is just paint, typically enamel or epoxy.
