"As far as the Patrician pictured above, I have only seen one photo of Bill Allison in front of the grill of a '55 senior, which could be the Patrician. It's on pg 593 of the Kimes Packard History. The above information on the prototypes is also from Kimes, pg 590-591."
The photo of Bill Allison on page 593 was taken by Dwight Heinmuller at the 1973 PAC National Meet in Detroit. BTW - It is not the "Kimes" book -- it is the "James J. Bradley, Stan Grayson, George Hamlin, Dwight Heinmuller, Richard M. Langworth, C.A. Leslie, Jr., Terry Martin, Richard K. Phillips, Don E. Weber and L. Morgan Yost book, with the appendices written by Roger Abbott, Charles Betts, Menno Duerksen, George Hamlin, John B. Montville, W.C. Williams and Bob Zimmerman." Beverly Rae Kimes was the editor, and Richard M. Langworth was the associate editor.

A distant relative of mine, Ooog Anthony, was a Packard wheel dealer, and he knew for a fact that Ooog Packard purchased his wheels directly from the GR factory (General Rocks). Ooog Packard was nothing but a middle man. He may have had rocks in his head, but he didn't have the stones to invent anything!

As I understand it, the "Packard Firsts" list was published by PMCC in 1949 on the occasion of their 50th anniversary. If anyone has any problems with it, I suggest that they take it up with the good folks at 1580 E. Grand Blvd., Detroit 32 Michigan.
(I've sent them several letters on the subject, but for some reason the post office keeps returning them to me.)

The Packard Cormorant #125 (Winter 2006) has an article on the history of the Flamingo paint titled "Pretty in Pink" along with a color photo. Flamingo was always used in combination with Dover White on the roof. (The "MO" paint code.) Several cars are listed:
#5642-6120 in California, in very good condition. #5677A-1766 in Illinois, which has been scrapped. #5677A-1874 in Tennessee, in very good condition. #5677A-1999 in Ohio, in fair condition. #5677A-2015 in Illinois, in excellent condition. #5682-4447 in California, in fair condition. #5687-4046 in California, condition unknown.

That 1956 Clipper is Down Under in Australia, hence the right-hand-drive conversion.

That photo dates from at least 1948, when the '48 Super Eight Convertible was pictured in the center of the photo. Packard added a new car every year. The last one featured a 1958 (!) model.

There is listed, in an old copy of the Packard V8 Roster, a 5677A owned by Mr. L. Grant in California (in 1989). The number is 5677A-1663 and the paint code is "VJ" (Corsican Black and Tangier Red).
