although it figures a peacock like MacArthur would have a cormorant, I agree with OP that the standard torpedo would be more typical.

I think it is a Swan. Too pretty and graceful to be a Cormorant. I know Packard interchanged names to describe the ornament. It's just one of my things...

Here's a photo of many Packards that were to be used as staff cars. I think the picture was originally in Life magazine but I'm not positive. Looks to me like they used the 'Feather' hood ornament like that used on most of the Le Baron models. Hard to tell.

Edit: Oops... Never mind. Just realized we are talking about a Clipper.

Yesterdays Radio used to reproduce the 41-2 Clipper dash plastic but Jerry retired last year. He has sold the business to LaVine restorations so you might contact them and see if they have started plastic production yet and will also be doing dash plastic and all the other items Jerry used to do or limit their work to specific items. LaVine contact info is on the old Yesterdays Radio site.http://yesterdaysradio.com

If you do contact them and they provide any information as to status would you let us know. There have been no updates on their web site to indicate if they are doing any plastic work.
