Back at it today! I really do love to vacation, but it also felt good to get back on the boat tail project.

Today I rolled the top sheet for the tail in the english wheel to get a nice crown on it. Five hours of work and I am getting close... maybe by next weekend I will have it tacked onto place.

Gas tank gets a pipe thread in a custom disc welded to the bottom. Originally, it had an insert soldered in a hex that has formed into the bottom of the tank. The metal was thin and the threads where messed up. I melted the solder and removed the insert. Then I drilled the hole open to 1 1/2" diameter with a step drill. I will make a custom disc and tig weld it in before I use the POR15 tank coating system.
