The bevy of Super 8's and such recently posted from $22,000 to $35K or so, makes me think a person could have a nice 2-3 car "golden era" Packard collection for no more then $60,000-$65,000 with serious offer wiggle room on some of those cars.

Packard made a fine looking four door car in those years but the monied collectors don't seem to want Super 8's.

IMO, too bad.

I restore the car, and the car restores me.

Hi

From around the Midwest:

A '48 Super Eight LWB sedan major project:
http://quadcities.craigslist.org/cto/5297920163.html

A '51 250 convertible, pricey for its condition:
http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/5298611915.html

A '52 250 Mayfair, owner says needs restoration, I don't see it, looks wonderful for the price:

Now, two '54 Cavaliers, priced the same, condition very different, the Wisconsin car (significant price reduction) will become as deteriorated as the New York car if it sets out in the weather much longer:

I wonder if a cracked block like that could be repaired by stitching it with pins?

We went over this about 2 years ago. We came to the conclusion that it was a mongrol. Yes you're right it's worth maybe 10-20% of the asking price.

Hi

Variety from here and there:

A '40 110 sedan, looks ready to enjoy:
http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/5298037043.html

That poor hacked '41 120 coupe from the recent auction:
http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5325867886.html

Another parts car, a '53 Clipper Deluxe, cheap:
http://longisland.craigslist.org/cto/5311099021.html

The opposite, a lovely '53 Caribbean, not inexpensive:
http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/5319790462.html

The '54 Clipper offered by Richard France here, looks like quite a deal for the price:
