I found this drawing on ebay. Was this design actually produced? It looks pretty slick.

I'm not aware that it was every produced. The fact that the rendering is identified with J. S. Inskip suggests that if Inskip actually received an order the body would have been produced by whatever then remained of Brewster which after some failing years was purchased in 1937 by Inskip.

Though there are very significant differences, the Rollson and Franay cars shown incorporate a small bit of the flavor of the Inskip concept.

Someone help me out on this 39 super eight by Rollson. It says it was based on a club coupe body, (according to the letter #1844 and drawing #1846) on a 127 wb. It has a 1938 super 8/ V12 (or 1939 V12) dash with a column shift. No front passenger seat. Built for Mrs Swayze (I've heard that name before in combination with custom body somewhere). Than the front fenders look different from stock fenders as well.
So is this a real Rollson or a fake?

doesn't the big slab of exposed wood with the body badge on it look odd?

George Colinga could help you with this. Remember his help at the Kerrville meet?

The 39 Su8 Rollson looks legit. Some of the lower sheet metal is obviously missing but the interior wood that is weathered is something that can't be faked. I agree that the dashboard is suspicious. It doesn't look right compared to a 40 Rollson Town Car dash.

Rollson did some oddball cars. One I remember was a 40 Su8 styled to look like a Caddy 60 Special. It even had Cadillac parts on it.
