This 38 super 8 with the wrong engine is getting desperate. He dropped $20k since advertising it. It's still way over priced.

I doubt if a buyer of that Darrin thing could succeed in court. A judge wouldn't hear a case like that in the absence of a qualified appraisal and dismiss on the grounds of due diligence not being fulfilled.

Secondly, most judges would consider anybody nuts for paying that much money for old cars. I knew an early CCCA guy who had a mint original SSK Mercedes that had parts stolen off of it at a shop. He sued and the judge simply looked at the case and threw it out on the grounds that old car collectors are nuts.

Hi

None here in the rarified six-figure range but all just genuine Packard or nearly so:

A '51 300, needs floor repair but looks decent otherwise:
http://longisland.craigslist.org/cto/4959378082.html

Myriad '52 200 sedans:
Try to restore one to this nice for the price, 11K miles:
http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/cto/4935061774.html

Half the price but still good for the money, 39K miles:
http://toledo.craigslist.org/cto/4919975726.html

Another cheaper yet, needs lifter attention, 50K miles:
http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/4958605890.html

A '55 Clipper sedan, solid, inexpensive:
http://denver.craigslist.org/cto/4935413984.html

A '57 Clipper town sedan, 37K miles, good-looker:

Odd that they detail the overhead sunglasses holder, the USB port, heated steering wheel, etc. but no mention of what they are using as an engine. Or did I miss it? I think it needs a backup camera.

Another mongrel, and such a shame - it's a quite rare body style.
