Is the strip over the windshield single or double? The pictures I have of the double lines are not clear enough to see if the double lines run all the way across. Thanks

I believe that, with the obvious exception of the front fender crowns, the striping on 33 and 34 cars is the same. Based on this the striping over the windshield should be double-stripe. There are some decent photos of correct '34 sedan striping on the PAC Forum. One of the photos shows where the double over the windshield blends into a single for the run to rearward.

If you want further confirmation or discussion I'd speak with Bruce Blevins and Jim Pearsall, the two acknowledged experts on the 33-34 Packards.

Dell, what a fine-looking Packard, and the striping is just correct and perfect. I find it so disappointing to see nicely restored 33 and 34 Packards with incorrect striping when there really is no controversy over what the striping should be. So congratulations - a stunning car!

In those years Packard just LOVED their gray paints, I see Storm Cloud Gray, Silver Fox Gray, Sea Shell Gray, and Gunmetal Pearlite all available in those years - tell me about your colors which are lovely.

Dave; I also would love to have more information on the colors. As I understand there are no paint chips, or I have not been able to find any. The car was restored by a friend in the late sixties and parked in the early seventies, He had picked the colors and I liked them so I just repainted it as it was. And yes it does look grand.

Just curious, the striping looks very well done (understatement) is the striping usually hand done, or, is it applied from a peel off tape? either way I marvel at the craftsmenship on your beautiful car.
