To all concerning the subject matter about Packard using 56 Lincoln bodies for the 57. I have in my library an article that was given to me several years ago that was printed about this subject.

The article is a memorandum from February 6th 1956 from product planner Roger Bremer to Nance. In the memorandom it explores the possibility of using Ford bodies for both Packard and Studebaker.

Anyone wanting a copy of this article please send me a pm with your complete address. I will check my mail box in three days and try to provide copies for those who are interested.

I do drop by on occasion to see what is going on.

BIGKEV: Actually Hemmings has known about Packardinfo for some time. Back in November or December of 09 the web site of Hemmings did an article on lost car dealerships.

The author of the article gave a very nice mention of Packardinfo at that time and noted the list of Packard dealerships that is listed here.

It is nice to see Packardinfo to gain recognition that it deserves. You are very lucky to have had the help you did from a select few persons in the beginning. However your hard work and reaching out has made the site grow by leaps and bounds.

49 Deluxe Eight (Jay). I have managed to obtain a copy of the latest edition of the Packard Cormorant so that I could read David Czirr article.

If you would like I would gladly loan you my copy so that you could read the article.

If you are interested in my offer send me a PM.

I think you might find that the button in question will be the reset for the trip odometer. You will find that if push the button up it will reset the odometer.

When I have time today let me go to the garage and check to make sure. My 53 has the same thing and it took me a period of time to figure out what the button was for.

Part of my last post was directed at Owen I made the mistake of saying the he was the PAC webmaster.

I think that is time for some behind the scenes facts to be put forward as to why Eric isn't part of us any longer. As we all know there have been some difference between Owen and Eric in the recent past. Owen couldn't handle the situation and complained to a third party about Eric. Basically saying that if something wasn't done about Eric he was going to pickup his marbles and go home. This position put the other two parties in a bad spot thus resulting in Eric's departure.

I have know about this situation for some period of time and haven't been to happy about. It has resulted in Packardinfo losing one of two valuable assets and contributors it had.

It seems that I have two bad habits in life concerning friends I have. I tell them straight out when they are wrong. I will also stick by them till Cuba freezes over when I think they are right.

The $10 You Should Spend

I purchased a dvd from BigKev for $10.00 that contains most of all the manuals and other contributions of information
made by many persons over the last couple of years

So people it is time to step up to the bar and buy a dvd from Kevin as this helps support the site.

Now having made the above statement I feel that I have contributed as much as I can to Packardinfo and it is time for me to move on. I know that some will be glad to see me go.

To me things have become a bit to formal for my tastes. Things aren't the same since Eric kind of go the boot.

I feel that the PAC webmaster posting here has to much influence as to what happens here.

The Best of Luck to All.

Owen: I realy wonder if Packard did have ownership of the 49 Monte Carlo. I understand it may have sat around in the Henney shops for a peroid of time after Packard showed no interest in it.

Could you please give us some details of the story as to when it may have been destroyed.
