the wheels on my 56 are black, but they definately dont have a factory paint job. the spare is green, which matches the cars original color.

My 2 55s have black spares and wheels, which ive never looked at all that closely.

if i may add, it also irritates me when one car/owner sweeps almost all the categories.

one of the VERY VERY few judged shows ive been to was kinda sad. this one car took 10 out of the 12 categories. It was a fiberglass duce coupe. whoopdie do. i thought there were plenty of cars there that deserved some recognition!

if i wanted to win awards, id have spent my time and money and built a cookie cutter, 'glass bodied ford hotrod.

i mean, my car is/was a DARE car, and i couldnt even with the "dare to be different" category. Its a Packard police car, fer cryin out loud.

but thats ok, i had a croud around my car for the entire three hour show, so i guess that works.

i figured it would, my question was if their were any differences, for example would a 56 374 change the performance of a 55 352. like if the 56 cam had a bigger lift and/ or duration because of the larger displacement.

again, thanks.

so what about a 1956 cam in a 55 engine? It would be a 55 engine that would be modified.

Thanks for the info! like i said, this is a way back burner project, but i am getting some ideas!
