For a 1932 8 deluxe, what would be the maximum overbore before you would have to worry about the motor running hot because of too much overboring? Would .06 be too much?

I don't know from actual experience but obviously the factory thought 0.06" was too much, they only offered oversized pistons to 0.045". I know of several of these engines that were already 0.030" oversized and when they again required boring as part of a new rebuild, they were sleeved back to standard.

Age, miles and poor maintenance has attacked the block bore from the inside and outside (coolant jacket side). U can do a Sonic test for wall thickness but there might b that 1 PIT it dosent pick up. i sleeve everything nowadays back to standard and sometime if the water side looks bad - under with a thicker sleeve.

The guy that restored my 32 ordered .60 rings from Egge. Maybe he just needed something over .50 and ground them to fit ? Egge says this block can go to .80, but I would never try that, just because they have them, does not make it correct.
