Dave, first of all Welcome to the Website. Please let us know about what Packard vehicles you own.

As to your question,

The Forum Ambassadors are folks that help out with a specific forum with things like:

-Welcoming new folks
-Encouraging folks to add their cars to the Registry
-Answering questions when possible, or helping in the tracking down of information.

..and various things of that nature.

My personal knowledge is limited to the 51-54 models. While I would say that I am not close to being an expert, I can hold my own and help other folks with their 51-54s. We just need more folks to be able to help people with the other Series/Years.

The 55-56 is probably the best represented forum. As we have several experts that know every bolt in them.

BiKev,

While I'd like to be a Pre-War Ambassador I just don't qualify on what I consider to be the most important of the criteria you listed, namely "Answering questions when possible, or helping in the tracking down of information".

Being a relatively new owner of 2 Pre-War Packards I certainly am in the right area, but with less than 6 months experience, and without the knowledge or sources of information referred to I cannot hold myself up as an expert, just very enthusiastic at this stage.

Saying that, I have been welcoming new forum members and encouraging the adding of their cars to the Owner Registry anyway and I'll continue to do so, albeit in an "unofficial" capacity.

I encourage anybody else with the requisite knowledge and technical skills to respond to BigKev's request to round out this forum.

Thanks to OwenDyneto (Dave) for offering to help out as the Forum Ambassador for the Pre-War Forum.

As the Pre-War covers the most number of series/years and the vehicle changes over that span are dramatic we, as always, could always use as many people as possible to help out.

So there is nothing wrong with have several Ambassadors like we do with the 55/56 Forum.

Thanks again Dave!

BIGKEV: When it comes to pre-war Packards and the information that I have in my library, which is as good or better than most people have. I will offer be to the pre-war Ambassador, but again maybe I don't qualify since I can't give much mechanical advise.

I will try and make sometime in the near furture to burn a cd of Warren 2007 for you.
