Hello, does anyone have any suggestions where to find timing gears (cam & crank) and a transmission input shaft for a 1st series eight? thank you!

to PackardInfo but sorry I can't help with your request. Might be a little early for them, but have you tried Kanters and Max? Or America's Packard Museum they do have parts for older Packards. Or maybe David Stewart, another 1st Series Eight owner, in Texas.

In the meantime, while waiting for the parts, I invite you to include your '24 1st Series Eight in the Packard Owner's Registry!

My apologies. You won't believe it but I did look before I asked. What's thrown me off is that it was originally listed with a User Name of 24 Coupe which didn't match the search criteria I used of Mike Lane. Apparently what happens if a User Name is changed, it then won't link back in a search. Also see this earlier post of mine. That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it!
PS - Have also put out a "feeler" for 1st Series Eight parts here in Oz, but don't hold your breath.

Mike, have you used the parts lists to determine which following Series used the same part numbers? That would be useful information and expand the base of your search.
