Hello, this is my first topic, so there's my question. I have a Packard Custom eight 1930 and I would like to know if the motor number and chassis number should match. Cause in the car documents the motor number match with the number engraved in the car motor but the chassis number is different. Should it match?

Thanks!!

From what I know, engine and frame numbers do not match. My 29 645 doesn't and it is all original.

What body style is your 7-40 Custom Eight? If a four-door car, open right-rear door and lift up edge of carpet. Fastened to the wood sill should be a small, brass tag on which numbers are stamped. The first three are the body style number of the car. Following those is the production number.

G'day myclassicsgarage,
to PackardInfo and see you're from Spain. Although your other post has your Packard for sale I invite you to include it in the Packard Owners Registry here on PackardInfo.

Jim(Gunnison) according to this post its a Roadster, there's also a link there to a Hemmings for sale post which has more pic's.
