Some great looking Packards there!
Pet peeve of mine: damn shame that 1941 convertible instrument panel was painted incorrectly with the body color. To be correct, it must be woodgrained in burled walnut. Only time the instrument panel is not woodgrained is when the optional, Multi-tone upholstery was special ordered. And even then the instrument panel was not body color, but rather the seat color. Hope you had a nice time - I missed it this year.

Hi Roger
Thanks, I had a great time, sorry you couldn't make it. I knew that painted '41 convertible dash would generate comments. It seems that since the convertible instrument panels were painted on the 22nd-23rd Series and Contours, the assumption is they were painted body color pre-war. Here is a rarity: a '41 120 Family Sedan two door sedan. While '41 110 Family Sedans turn up, this is the only such 120 I've seen. The seller related this car came from the Sacramento, CA area and had evidence of possibly having been in CHP service. The seller and I speculated it might have been a detective's car rather than a patrol car. Steve

Hello....1941 Packard conv.info..Woodgrained dash was only used with tan plastic. This car appears to have brown or maroon plastic which calls for a taupe dash...

I see so few "restored" Packards with authentic paint and trim that I have stopped looking at the stuff.
I remember only one 37 V-12 open car with a correct standard interior in the past 20 years.

How about a '28 443 roadster for a Curtiss Aerocar tow rig? Love the unique combinations that show up at Hershey.

COOL! Thanks for posting, Steve. I WILL make it to Hershey one year, I swear. It is a big trip for me being in western Canada, but it's on my bucket list. Also, I had no idea the 5th wheel concept went that far back! Chris

I love that 28 roadster. A roadster is still on my bucket list. Preferably in the condition this 28 is; not perfect but ready to be enjoyed.

Here's a nice comparison for the proportions of a '29 645 Dietrich sport phaeton and a '30 745 touring. Simply moving the rear section forward results in much more pleasing proportions,
Always a delight seeing a '30 734 Speedster, thanks to Donald Peterson for showing his.
