I'm looking for a project to do with my son. I actually have a few Packards I'd be interested in, but the criteria is:
relatively clean body, paint any condition. Surface rust ok, small patches needed ok.
Complete chrome.
Complete or mostly complete interior a bonus.
Engine/transmission any condition, brakes any condition. I can find rusted Packards around here with relative ease so finding a donor engine would be possible, and plans are to adapt the 4l80e I have so no transmission needed. Unless it is a factory 3 speed, I'd keep that.

Models I'm interested in:
55 or 56 400
56 Executive coupe
56 Clipper coupe
56 Patrician
Let me know if you have a "parts car" that needs restoration. Honestly if the body is relatively clean I can probably find a rusted out parts car up here for all the rest of the pieces. I am just not willing to put up with working on another rusted out car!

Hello.
I have a 55 400 that is pretty complete minus engine and headlights. I don't have a title for it. Thinking of possibly selling it.

G'day Torranosaurus,
to PackardInfo, see you're in Texas. That info could help those interested in your '55 400 to know where it is.

And, so it's recorded for posterity, I invite you to include it in the Packard Vehicle Registry.

The car has been driven and displayed at our local car show, and at our car club meetings. After ten years of being a care taker its time to pass this car on.
Other than polishing and buffing an older repaint, the exterior looks much as it did when we bought it. (A nice looking20 footer, condition three in Old Cars and Parts). The interior has been redone. Seating material, door panels, and carpeting all were replaced with original pattern materials from SMS. The value would be $15,500 or best offer. A list of what has been done while in my possession is available along with photos via E mail. I have been able to put the list of what I did but am having trouble attaching pictures. I am able to e-mail them if you want to see the interior or exterior.

G'day happy,
Sorry to hear you're selling your '56 Four Hundred Hardtop Coupe. But, when you do, could you please advise so the Registry entry can be updated?
