I found this print on my 1946 Clipper Club sedan on the chassis and trying to decipher the same . Can someone throw some light on it. Also wanted information on coil springs and the correct load factor, dimensions if someone wants to repair or make a set.

Look forward to all the help

G'day Aniruddh,
See you've been a PackardInfo member for some time but first post, so

Can't help much with the deciphering other than the upper date 9-19-46 = 19th September 1946 and the lower PACK would probably be short for Packard. Maybe someone else can offer further insights? Have you looked in the Packard Literature and Manuals for the spring information you require?

And a request for you, could you please include your '46 Clipper Club Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry?

Aniruddh,
for including your '46 Clipper Six Club Sedan in the Packard Owner's Registry. Notice your very nice looking Clipper is LHD although India is a RHD country.

In india we had a dealer who sold the regular sedans 4 door as rhd assembled imports while convertibles and club sedans were special imports for most of the 30's and 40's cars into india . Upto the 50s even Cadillacs series 62 sedans and convertibles were left hand drive.

We have quite a few surviving PACKARDS here including an early 1919 twin six limousine which is rhd

Regards
