new body stamping never seen

I've never seen this body stamping, nor heard about it, or seen it discussed here before. maybe i'm the first crazy dude to hang my head upside down to check my linseed on the drivers side rear of the trunk at the 12 o'clock position.

basically look up at the inside of the driver's side brake light and then come forward of that towards fuel inlet cover and you may be lucky to see it.

I have no idea what KAWANNA is or the numbers above it. it doesn't correlate to my car's number.

pretty cool. if this is the first sighting, I shall name it the Greene Stamp and it shall be known as that from hence forth. and if this has been seen or discussed...welp nevermind...way to burst my bubble. lol!

file size is larger for more detail.

Hank

Holy crap! Maybe that is it too! If so I just stumbled upon the original dealer for my car! Thanks for finding this Guscha!! I bet the 3155 is the date of delivery! All other dates on my car have pointed to march of 55 . Coincidence I think not!

Wish I could read what it says after Lackawanna . And the number at the top... Maybe the inventory number?

Edit: the letters after Lackawanna appear to say PLANT to me. So probably was the steel mill.

It looks like the steel company id that was stamped on the flat steel before it was stamped into shape.

As Yogi Berra said: "You never can tell what you will see when you look around." Or something like that.

Henry,

Is there any part of that car you have not studied?

Thanks for posting the find.

What a shame. What took its place? I hope it is something worthy of what it replaced.
