The Studebaker forum has an ongoing thread called 'Studes in Roadside America', with over 7,000 entries. A recent one mentions this Packard and another poster provided a photo of it with the back glass shattered. Charles Starkweather stole it from the Wards after killing them in Nebraska. He was captured in Kansas I believe.
It all made me curious if that car has survived to today. Anybody have any history on it?

Some months after ABC aired the miniseries 'Murder in the Heartland', back in 1993, an article appeared in the Pacark Club's Cormorant News-Bulletin (CNB) regarding the status of the 56 Patrician that Starkweather stole (though a 55 was actually used for the film).

As I recall, the car was being preserved, then, but I have no details on its disposition since.
