Just joking about the subject title.
But REALLY frustrating, as the car is a manual (standard drive , stick shift) and it's a complete car! I really want to convert my patrician to a manual but if I bought the whole car for, say, $300 it ends up by the time it gets here being $10300 which is a lot to pay for a manual conversion kit. Hope it goes to a good home anyway ebay.com/itm/1955-Packard-Clipper/311949 ... X%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

there is a fairly complete kit to convert to stick shift on ebay right now, minus the car. don't have a link, but it was in my followed search recently.

Looks like I won the auction, the plan is bone out this gem asap. Other than the stick stuff, let me know what you may need at "working man prices" As far as sheet metal goes, the car appears to be nearly "metal free".

The eBay parts are just the beginning. Finding the clutch and shifter parts is going to be difficult. Best bet is to buy a complete manual shift car and use those parts. I guess one could go to a floor shift kit and eliminate the need for all the column shift bits, but that still leaves the lack of clutch linkage problem to solve. JWL
