Packard photo i.d.?
There are TWO Packards shown in this video. The third pic into the song shows a boy standing in front of an older model, maybe '40's? Anyone know the exact year and model? It goes by very fast.

I'd say it's a 21st series Packard Clipper Sedan. Possibly a Six.

I agree with JD. It's a 21st series Clipper ('46 or '47) 6-cylinder. The sixes did not have the horizontal grille bars, "whiskers", that wrapped around the front fenders like the eights had.

Good eye JD (and good screen capture on the pic!) I'm not quite sure what you're seeing with the grill, though. To me, it looks like there are horizontal bars across the fronts of the fenders. Maybe they're not the "whiskers" you describe, though.
Anyway, I'll bet Mr. Willett is the kid in the picture. He's obviously a Packard fan, and doesn't that often start in one's younger years? Also, there's a shot of a very weird promo car mounted on a pole that shows up when Tom is singing about the "Packard Caribbean had torsion bar suspension." What the heck is that white monstrosity? Anyone? If you haven't watched the video yet, I think this is just such a likable ditty I listen to it periodically. It cheers me up. I wasn't always confident in my teens, but I think I know what he's talking about. I certainly didn't worry about getting old! But, alas, I have not yet had an opportunity to invest in high rise condos. Cheers!

Here's an example of what JW refers to as "Whiskers". I don't think the car in the video has them but they might be blocked by the kid's pant leg. I was basing my guess at a six on the hubcaps.

So then: The forty-six Clipper eights had whiskers on their fenders. I can't say it any plainer than that.

This always deserves a bump.
Anyone ever figure out what that big white monstrosity on top of the signpost is supposed to represent?
