Garrett,
No expert here, but I believe Packards of that era could be had with a number of different wheel options: steel, wire or wooden spoked. EDIT - See the next post. So I've done it again and validated my "no expert" comment once more. Although I did notice the tinted windows!

Nor the alternator, and I'm pretty sure that air freshener has been renewed. The horror.

I would suggest that the wheels may be correct for a 6th Series. Although they appear to have chrome or stainless spokes which would not be correct. I believe the 7th Series wires were much changed to the Fifth and Sixth Series. They used a larger trim ring around the hub cap and may have accessed the wheel studs through the wheel hub and not through the wires as with the Fifth and Sixth Series. I may of course be completely wrong, but i'm sure someone will correct me. PT

I don't know if the wheels are correct or not, but the 8th Series was the first to have the wheel lug bolts concealed beneath the hub cap on standard wire wheels.

The black sidewalls kinda threw me off. Here's a picture of a 29 640 roadster to compare.

Yes, the black-walls threw me off as well. The black walls with the spoke hubcaps gave them a modern-look.

With that new alternator, do you figure it has been converted to a 12-volt system?
