I have noticed a huge upswing in traffic lately and see lots of anonymous visitors and new folks here on the website.

Just wanted to say hello to all of you, and invite you all to participate here in the forums. A website community is only as it's user participation, so please chime and contribute to the conversation!

G'day all,
I'd like to add my to that of Kev's. PackardInfo is a great Site which is growing and getting better and better thanks to all those who actively participate. And don't forget, when you join and own a Packard or Packards ADD them to the Owner Registry.

With support like that, no wonder I'm having such a hard time encouraging Packard owners to include their Packards in the Registry.

No upswing, BigKev, I just check the site from 12 different locations 50 times a day without logging in. I'm not addicted. I can stop any time.

Had a good session in the Chatroom earlier today, early Saturday morning Sydney time being early to late Friday afternoon US time. Great way to "talk" to old Packard friends and "meet" some new ones. Pop in anytime and say G'day. And one of the new Packard friends agreed to add his 2 Caribbeans to the Registry even though Eric was again citing harassment!

Yes, harassment. As much as you hound people I think they only reason why they put their cars in the registry is because they're afraid you'd show up on their doorstep with a club some day, I know I was!

Hello to BigKev (we had one of those in Australia) and the rest of the forum.
I'm John Clements from Adelaide, Capital of South Australia, and whilst I don't and due to space can't own a Packard (I have a 1962 Studebaker Lark Regal 4 door sedan) I'm a member of the Aussie and American clubs and look forward to learning much about these beautiful vehicles from the knowledgeable forum members.

I see Mal from Sydney (Ozstatman) is part of the group, nice to have another Aussie on the forum.

I collect Packard ads and have around 200 ranging from 1904 to 1958 (yes, I know the company ceased making cars in 1956) but still S-P tried their best with the financial resources available, not helped by the management agreement with Roy Hurley of Curtiss-Wright which ended after they had taken "our" relatively new (and profitable) defense plant in Utica NY.

I wonder whether anyone has studied that agreement and those events, be a good book I imagine.

On with the show.

John
