I found this emblem at a yard sale, and think it may be off an old Packard. Can anyone confirm this and if so, tell me what year it could be off of?

Thank you.

P.S.
If needed I can add more photos tomorrow. Thanks again.

I think you may have a Packard mascot (Cormorant) from 1951 and a base from 1952. I hope others will examine your pictures and respond in kind.

From the curvature and the number of attachment points, it looks like it would fit my '48. Are you interested in selling it? You can PM me if you want.
Thanks!

Probably has a part number cast into the bottom of the base. If so that should identify what years it will fit.

I believe that is from a 1948-50. The cormorant ornament in '51-'54 had swept back wings.

The Pelican in 1951 had upswept wings. They went straight back in 1952.

I believe Randy and Kevin are right. Upon further research, it looks like a 24th series (1951). That was the last year for the upswept wings.

Gemtlemen: with the long base and the upright wings, that is for a 51.
