Now wait a minute. In the 2nd and 4th pic there appears to be somekind of trailer hitch with reflectors. No such trailor hitch in 1st and 3rd pics.

To top that off, the position of the hitch is different in the 2nd and 4th pics.
What's that all about???

Great pic's! Not every Packard gets the chance to see from whence it came its spiritual home.

Hi TroyT

Great to give the Patrician a look at her birthplace. Did you notice big, salty water drops coming from her headlights upon seeing it? Strictly speaking, her birthplace was the Connor Avenue plant but that facility was razed in 1959 so no point it showing her a vacant lot.

Glad you got such a good example for a reasonable price, makes the process to a fine, drivable car much better and less costly. The first time you drive into a car show and see the admiring looks from the assembled, you'll experience how the first owner felt driving the Patrician in 1955.

After 25 years, a fresh battery and a shot of fluid, she fired right up. Great oil pressure and I took her for a tootle around the yard.

Nice break in the temp today. We got her out and gave the undramatic a workout. First back and forth then around the yard. Lots of lookers passing by. Got the engine all warmed up for about 15 min, water pump, check, heater cores and hoses, check, water temp check, Radiator check, T/L system like a dream. If I had the brakes up, I would have went down the road, oh so tempting to do. Cant wait for spring.

looking good Troy! Make sure the metal vent tube on the radiator neck is clear all the way to its end if the car came from a rust belt state. You would not think rust chips and particles can cause an air tight blockage, But they can. excessive pressure can pop the heater cores.
