Oh!!! I just remebered a 3rd discovery of his.
It has to do with V8 motor mounts that can be rebuilt for about $8 to $12 each using over th counter mounts from another car and only requires a hand drill and mayb one hour worth of work.

With a little more encouragement like we've seen tonite i mite just dig those out and give good instruction on how to do it. They work great on my car. But i can keep it under my hat if we all behaves ourselves.

I met Eric a couple of times (2006 & 2010) for several days duration each time. In person, he's a very nice guy, albeit with a weird sense of humor. I agree with others that Eric has made several significant contributions to the Packard restoration & modification efforts. Eric can do more with less $ than almost anyone I know -- except maybe Paul in Las Vegas. Recently, Eric is selling off his Packard stuff in order to "move on" due to personal reasons. I wish him well.

Another contribution by Eric that I remember is the Olds V-8 HEI adapted to the Packard V-8. IIRC, he even laid out step-by-step instructions on how to do it. Clever!

IIRC, the HEI that was adapted was a pontiac and not an olds.

And I agree that eric did contribute more than he detracted, he was very specific about some of the concerns on the conversion/motor swap project i was working on, and put a lot of info in the 6v AC thread where we hashed out the few workable options.

No, it was definitely an Olds because of the direction of rotation (Pontiac CCW, Olds CW). That's one of the reasons also why the Olds oil pump was adapted (direction of rotation same as Packard).

Minor correction:
Olds and Packard are OPPOSITE clockwise not CW. Pont and Chev are CW. No??

T'Pacman also came up with a Ford TPI e-ignition conversion too that is excellent. Can't find the thread here at P'info.com tho. It was sometime about 2008 or 2009.

Eric made a great many contributions to the site during the time he was with us. He was very innovative as has been noted.
