Humidity was near or above 90% as well.
But the event was excellent. I think there were more cars at Salado then there were at PI National Meet.

More photos from Salado. The 32 Light Eight Roadster Coupe leads the early bird tour on Friday mornings. The 24 Touring was driven from Michigan to St. Louis, then transported the rest of the way. It won the long-distance award. The 20 Twin Six was the oldest Packard displayed. We had one modified Packard, the 37 115C Coupe. If you have to have a street rod, might as well be a Packard. It was nicely done. Many, many more coming...

It was definitely a great meet. It was great to meet Big Kev. Hank's 55 chassis was a big hit. It is really looking great.

i had a great time as well, despite loosing my wife's keys...oops! it was great meeting everyone from the boards, even those i haven't meet before.
it was good to see BigKev and watch him muscle my chassis out of the trailer practically by himself. Also i'm now worried that Flackmaster is going to drive a car into my yard and just leave it without my knowledge LOL!...Flack...if you are reading...make it a 37 coupe. LMAO! Tom, i was jealous you got to drive your chassis in and honk the horn...that was a treat! John, sorry my dad didn't stay...they had to get going. maybe next year ;0) the factory door i brought didn't garnish as much attention as i thought it would, but that was probably because of the price tag i put on it. which probably wont seem so crazy when the plant is finally demolished. and i will have to say that hotel is bit overpriced for the accommodations. the beds were at best....bricks. that was my first time staying overnight there...and i'm not sure i'll do it again. maybe the hotel up the road. when i get around to it i'll post whatever pics my wife took and the video my dad did. Here are some more photos. The 120-B is an especially nice and attractive Packard with the absence of sidemounts and the smooth rear styling. It has a direct connection back to George Weill, a principal in Packard's early Warren years. The 1938 Eight is the one Tom Wilcox has mentioned many times on this site. The restoration and paint are just beautiful. This was its first time out. I'll post more later...
